Fender's acoustic-electric hybrid guitar is a technical marvel, but it is expensive (official price of $2,000) and relatively complicated for budding musicians. Thankfully, there is an option that is easier to access. The instrument brand has launched an Acoustasonic Player Telecaster, which is more affordable at $1,200 and has a simpler design, with a three-way voice selector (other models are five-way) and a mixing knob. In theory, this is more suitable for young, new musicians who want to combine two guitars into one—at least, if they can justify spending a lot of money on new hardware.

Fishman’s co-designed pickup can help you switch between acoustic and electric mode, while the N4 pickup promises "noise-free" electric performance. You will find that there are six sounds in total, which you can play individually or combine to create fresh sounds.

Acoustasonic Player Telecaster has four familiar guitar colors around the world (black, white, cream and graded "Shadow Burst"). If you want more control, there is still an incentive to buy more expensive guitars, but if you need $800 or just want something that saves space and time, this may make sense. If you need to play an electric guitar on stage, but an acoustic guitar in your apartment, this may be the ideal guitar.
